About me

20228227_10155590021433420_7048055518547012126_nHello, my name is Lauren Heno, I’m 23 years old, and recently home from backpacking around Australia and Asia. I graduated from Portsmouth University in 2015 after studying Journalism and then decided to up and go to the other side of the world and live out of a backpack. I left England in November 2015, or as some would say ran away, but it’s safe to say you can’t run forever. I spent a large part of my time (15 months to be precise) in Australia and can honestly say, boarding that flight was the best thing I have ever done in my life. My travels since have included; Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

As you will see from my posts, some can be quite personal, take from them what you wish, but for me, this blog is a way of being honest with others, relaying my experiences and sharing tips and advice for those walking a similar path.

I graduated from university with a first class BA (Hons) Journalism along with the NCTJ Diploma with the wish to be a future writer. My university life, as with most students, was a roller coaster. There were a number of great memories created, beautiful hearts met along the way, and lessons I will cherish forever, but there were also been a number of hurdles to overcome. From friends, to family and relationships, to managing work loads and multiple jobs, I’ve covered pretty much everything in this blog. This is a personal blog about my life, and the events that happen every day. I have not written anything with the intent to cause distress, upset, or anger, all views contained are of my own.

I’m on a journey of a life time that started in Australia, with plans to go much further, who knows what I will come across but stay connected and I’ll be sure to keep you updated!

I’ve been through a lot but I am stronger than ever. This is my story, my battle, my path, my life.

I think you are a champion Lauren, seems like you are a veteran – surprising for one so young in years.

Did much of what you are doing when twice your age. It was amazing. Enjoy every moment the memories will last a lifetime and the stories for the kids…
